Texas A&M Brings Back the 70’s

Texas A&M unveiled a new look for their inaugural season in the SEC yesterday, a throwback to the uniforms they wore in the 1970’s. Much to the dismay of many Aggie fans, it includes a pretty significant use of the bevel:

It’s definitely a departure from what we’ve seen in the past for A&M, but I like the uniqueness of the shoulder stripes. Before you worry about that gaudy “12th Man” block text on the sleeves— it’s only going to apparently be on one player on the field. Missing from Adidas’ shoot is the new white alternate helmet, as well as all of the alternate combinations available. The look has definitely grown on me since the initial unveiling, we’ll see how well the inconsistent striping and fan-abhorred bevel stick around.
